The International Society of Female Professionals Recognizes Rebecca Fraley-Corrado


Rebecca Fraley-Corrado is Assistant VP of Administration & Finance for Medgar Evers College, City University of New York in Central Brooklyn. Medgar Evers is a public college with a student population of some 7,500 in New York City, and is a senior college of The City University of New York (CUNY) offering baccalaureate and associate degrees.

In this role, Rebecca leads a team of up to 70 managing enterprise-resource planning, maintaining and improving accounting functions. She serves as Human Resources Labor Relations Designee as well as hearing and responding to union grievances.

Her previous leadership roles with Hostos Community college, New York City School Construction Authority and the Fashion Institute of Technology, prepared her well for the role she is in today. Having risen through the ranks through hard work and dedications, she is known as a consummate Head of Administration and HR/ People Operations and Change Manager who has successfully promoted and implemented positive productivity and systems and process improvements across organizations.

Rebecca has led teams of up to 300 with budgets ranging up to $8 million, with a portfolio of responsibilities that have included Public Safety; Labor Relations in both highly unionized and non-union settings; Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, Facilities Management, Finance and Back/ Front-Office Administration, HB1 visa applications,
Diversity & Inclusion.

Known to be people-centric with high emotional intelligence, she holds her Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Baruch College, Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, New York, NY, and her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice from Saint John’s University, Staten Island, NY.

Some of her professional development includes Coastal Storm Planning Operator Training
The SUNY Leadership Development Program, Safe Horizons, Mediation & Conflict Resolution Training Program, and The CUNY Executive Leadership Program.

Her work has not gone unrecognized, and she has been recognized by the Society of Indo-American Engineers & Architects: Supporter Recognition, the City University of New York: Productivity Award, The Center for Women and Non-Traditional Students: Women of Achievement Award, and the CUNY/Daily News Citizenship Now Project: Certificate of Appreciation.

In her spare time, she enjoys travel, reading, and being a part of her community.
