The International Society of Female Professionals Recognizes Nicole Wint, LCSW

 
Nicole Wint is the owner of Affirm Counseling Services LLC where she specializes in treating severe and persistent mental illnesses. Nicole holds dual Masters degree in Social Work and Psychology from Simmons University and International University of the Caribbean, respectively. Nicole attended St. Hugh’s High School for Girls then the University of the West Indies, Jamaica during which time she served as the Director of Projects for Circle K International. Immediately after college, Nicole was employed with Eckerd Youth Alternatives, North Carolina in a wilderness program, where to date, serves as one of her most challenging yet rewarding experiences.
 
In her current role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Affirm Counseling Services LLC, she excels in management, administration of the program and implementation of project activities.  She keeps the business afloat all while providing top notch services to improve the quality of life of others.
 
Prior to her current role, she served as a Lead Mental Health Therapist, Behavioral Health Clinician, Senior Social Worker, and Psychiatric Social Worker among others. Throughout all her career she has dedicated time to developing competence in use of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness as part of best therapeutic practices. She is highly experienced in areas of communication, working with culturally diverse groups, public speaking, leadership skills, empathy, stress management, time management, risk assessments and psychosocial treatments.
 
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, travel, and spending time in her community.
