Miriam Marcus is the founder and Director of Volunteer Israel for four years. Volunteer Israel is an organization that recruits volunteers from around the world and places them with the best charities available in Israel.
Miriam has found potential foreign volunteers and run programs for them at an organization that cares for people with intellectual disabilities in Israel for close to 15 years. Four years ago she opened her own company which helps match potential volunteers from around the world with charitable organizations in Israel. As well as helping them get their documents so that they can be given official volunteer visas through Israel’s Social Affairs and Interior Ministries, she keeps in touch with them after arrival to ensure that their experience is satisfying.
Prior to owning her own business, she was the senior member of a Resource and Development department and head of the foreign volunteer program at a previous company and has excellent public relations skills and fundraising experience.
She received her Bachelors degree in teaching, and applies those skills in all facets of her work as well. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
