The International Society of Female Professionals Recognizes Maria Beyeler-Sapiente


 
Maria Beyeler-Sapiente has over 18 years of experience in her field. As Legal Officer at the World Intellectual Property Organization, she oversees policy, legal and awareness matters related to digital ecosystem of IPRs enforcement. She has enjoyed following a natural progress in her career, and is passionate about her work.
 
Maria joined the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in April 2002 where she now works as Legal Officer at the Building Respect for IP (BRIP) Division, Global Challenges and External Partnership Sector, after few years spent as lawyer in the private sector of trademark.
 
In WIPO she worked in various institutional and commercial legal affairs sectors of the Organization, (Finance, Office of the Legal Counsel, HRMD) with an extensive knowledge of the Organization’s diplomatic, business and administrative management programs, structures, regulations and policies.
 
Since 2017, she has been a part of the BRIP Division’s team where she deals with activities in the field of Policy and International Cooperation, Technical Assistance and Capacity Building and Strategic Assistance and Awareness.
 
Maria earned a master’s degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham (UK). She credits her success to dedication, hard work and producing results. She is looking forward to connecting with likeminded professionals.
