The International Society of Female Professionals Recognizes Kimberly Porter


 
Kimberly Porter is Human Resources Manager of Empowered Visionary, where she oversees and guides all operations and policy for the human resources department. She handles hiring, training and recruitment, and is known for her expertise in strategic planning, policy and communication.
 
Kim is a results-oriented, highly motivated Human Resources professional with over twenty years of progressive experience.  She has held Human Resources roles in large and small companies and across different industries including manufacturing, professional services, pharmaceutical, life sciences and technology, including organizations with global elements.
 
Kim’s experience has included developing many programs from scratch and leading implementation, including employee handbooks, goal setting and performance management programs, successful internship programs, career fair programs, cross-training programs, and researching and implementing new employee benefits such as vision benefits and a pet insurance offering.  She has worked independently with benefits brokers to evaluate renewal bids and has managed open enrollment and employee benefit education through WebEx training she developed. Kim is highly experienced in complex employee relations, coaching managers, and building and maintaining relationships with associates and all levels of management.  She also has experience-supervising staff, including interns and recruiters.
 
Kim is also skilled in talent acquisition, including experience with Boolean searches through LinkedIn and utilizing inMails and professional directory searches. She has experience hiring difficult to fill roles including scientists, chemists, and engineers, including licensure verification. In addition, in a contract role with a large health system, she recruited for nurses and physicians.
 
Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Human Resources and a Masters of Arts in Management and Leadership, both from Webster University in St. Louis.  She has strong computer skills including HRIS applications such as PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP, SharePoint, Kronos, Workday, and Brassring.  In addition, she has experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. She is also a notary public for the state of Missouri.
