Joanne Tuinstra is an acclaimed Strategic Life Coaching Practitioner and the founder of and-U: Powerful and Growing, an agency that offers an array of Intuitive and Holistic coaching services.
Specializing in Solutions-Based Counseling, Strategic Life and Relationship Coaching, Joanne is a worldwide accredited and approved Multi-Disciplinary Practitioner. She is a Master Practitioner NLP, REBT, CBT, and a certified Strategic Life Coach.
Coming from a history of working in both the mental health and the legal services industries, Joanne has vast experience in the areas of crisis intervention, conflict resolution, program development/evaluation, and case management.
While living and working in Newfoundland, Joanne graduated from the Practical Nursing Program at the College of the North Atlantic and from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a degree in Political Science and Sociology, as well as a Certificate in Criminology.
As Joanne continued her lifelong journey of personal growth and development, she felt very drawn to the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and chose to study through the Priority Academy in Peterborough, UK. After much hard work, determination, perseverance, support, encouragement and belief in herself, Joanne received accreditation as a Multi-Disciplinary Practitioner, as well as a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Based out of Hamilton, Ontario, Joanne credits her humble success to lessons she has gratefully learned from every single person she has ever encountered because, as she says, each one became her beloved teacher whether they knew it or not.

BIG HIGHLIGHT! -2023 brings with it wonderful growth for and-U:Powerful and Growing! I am delighted, and so gratefully pleased, to announce I will be broadening my practice to include Doula Services. Personally, I am in the process of upgrading my academic portfolio to include the study of becoming an ‘End-of-Life Doula’. I have many ideas and plans and am eager to move forward in actualizing them!
