Lisa Robinson, Ph.D. is currently the Director of the MBA Justice Administration Specialization as well as an Assistant Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Bluefield University. Prior to her work at Bluefield, Dr. Robinson spent three years with Virginia Veterans and Family Support working in mental health with veterans, five years at New River Community Action as the Homeless and Housing Programs Coordinator, and almost four years working in various research projects at Virginia Tech while completing her doctorate. Dr. Robinson holds a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Science from Bluefield University (2007), a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Radford University (2009), a Master’s in History from Louisiana Tech University (2015), and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Virginia Tech (2020). For her work at New River Community Action, Dr. Robinson received two recognitions: a Top 40 under 40 in Affordable Housing in Virginia, and an Outstanding Community Service award. Passionate about her work, Dr. Robinson credits her success to dedication, drive, and perseverance. She looks forward to networking with likeminded professionals.
