The International Society of Female Professionals Recognizes Eva Marie Popelka


 

 

Eva Marie Popelka is chief operating officer (COO) for the North Platte Valley Medical Center (NPVMC), including the current Platte Valley Clinic and the Saratoga Care Center. In addition, she is an Imaging Consultant for SE Imaging Consultants. She has been in the medical field since 1999, and has ventured in different entrepreneurial activities and fundraising activities. She has been involved with the Alaska Legislature in passing a bill to licensure all people that take radiographs, and helped organize many Relay for Life fundraisers to help the local community.

Prior to her current role, she was assistant radiology director and quality control manager for the South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC). She was the recipient of the Innovation in Transformation Award (2018) in the rural hospital category by the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association.

Eva Marie started a clinical site for new radiography students in rural South East Alaska, so that more students could study and enter the field. Eva Marie holds her BS in radiation therapy with a minor in advanced diagnostic radiologic sciences from Weber State University in Ogden, UT. She also completed her MBA in healthcare with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. She is certified as a radiologic technologist with post primary certifications in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MRI), and quality management by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
