The International Society of Female Professionals Recognizes Dr. Sydney Ceruto

Dr. Sydney Ceruto is Founder of MindLAB Neuroscience where her expertise in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience has revolutionized therapeutic practices across the board.

She believes as society continues to see the adverse effects of stress, anxiety, and depression on physical and mental health and as the world becomes increasingly fast-paced and competitive, ways to become more mentally resilient will rise in popularity.

As a pioneer in Neuroscience and Neural Re-Wiring, she began changing the landscape of psychological therapy with the inception of MindLAB Neuroscience. After 20 years of rigorous education, she saw a real lack of efficacy in traditional therapeutic methods. The fact that patients were sitting on the couches of their therapists for years, even decades, making little to no progress whatsoever, was indeed very close to Dr. Ceruto’s heart.

Having gone through tragedy at a very young age, and desperately seeking help from counselors, therapists, and psychiatrists, she found no comfort or relief of her depression and PTSD.  This is what genuinely galvanized Sydney to develop a cutting-edge technique based on hard science, that has helped her clients with mental and emotional disorders, executive presence, relationship and marriage issues and any changes desired to improve their respective lives. One of the major differences is that the changes she helps her clients make are quickly implemented, and better yet, are permanent.

Sydney is passionate about her work and only sees three clients at a time so she can truly partner up, arm in arm, and provide a true concierge experience. Addressing the psychological, physiological and biological states, is what it takes to rewire old, pernicious ways of thinking and behaving. Her work has made s significant difference in the lives of those who need it the most and is a venerated trailblazer in Neuropsychology.

A unique approach that works

Dr Ceruto’s extensive experience which spans from two PhDs in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience to over 22 years of experience in this field makes her an ideal professional for those looking to improve the ways they think, behave, react, emote, perceive, and project. Their desire for genuine change makes them open and willing to put their trust in Dr. Ceruto and her process.

Sydney unequivocally understands how to teach people to replace negative traits, fixed mindsets, distorted thinking, low self-esteem, childhood traumas, and so on, with tools necessary to significantly improve their self-awareness, mindset, and emotional intelligence.  She stretches and supports each client through this transformative process by being available to them 24/7 in between sessions and is resent during real times of crisis.

Those who have worked with her, rave about the significant ways their lives have changed for the better.  They have effusive praise for Sydney and MindLAB Neuroscience. Clients extoll her for having a super sharp intellect, singular intuitiveness, and genuine warmth.  There is no question in Dr. Ceruto’s mind as to whether her clients meet their set goals; she simply does not give up on anyone and knows that any change is possible thanks to the brain s natural ability to change and adapt, known as ‘neuroplasticity’.

Dr Ceruto describes this as the literal rewiring and repurposing of neural pathways. This technique is literally and figuratively starving off the old, non-advantageous ways or thinking and behaving, while simultaneously feeding the new, much healthier neural connections and repurposing of neurons, to alter the physical mapping of the brain.

The beauty of neuroplasticity is that it offers a pathway that neuropsychiatrists or neuropsychologists can employ to help clients make lasting positive changes and that clients can put their full trust in, knowing its effectiveness is grounded in hard science,”.

Although every client she sees is different, typically her approach begins with detecting incorrect cognitive habits by determining whatever tools of success a client is missing. Once identified, she trains her clients to manipulate and positively shift their emotional associations through tactics such as decisive self-talk, directed focusing techniques, and other neuroscientific methods that she has developed over two decades. She then shifts her treatment to the repetition of these positive behaviors, resulting in the brain beginning to rewire itself with consistent repetition due to neuroplasticity.

Dr Ceruto calls this neural-rewiring. She wholeheartedly believes that with the proper guidance, anyone can rewire their brain to live happier and more productive lives.

What this means for the future of therapy

The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not fighting the old, but on building the new,” shares Dr. Ceruto.

The neural-rewiring method’s success has been overwhelming. Dr Ceruto’s clients have benefited much more quickly than when going through traditional therapy. There is no question she attributes this to the fact that they can immediately act upon positive behavioral changes instead of spending weeks with her trying to unearth a their past trauma before any action is taken.

The discipline has traditionally been solely focused on psychology without much consideration of the physiological aspect of what drives happiness and success. Therapeutic practices must address both, further ingraining the salubrious effects of utilizing neuroscience as the leading method making big moves and a significant shift in the field of life coaching and therapy.

Dr Ceruto is a graduate of Yale School of Medicine, NYU, and was awarded the CREA award from Brainz Magazine, recognized as a senior contributor and pioneer in Forbes, is a proud member of the Forbes Executive Council, Positive Performance Alliance, Wharton Executive Education Program, The International Society of Female Professionals, and an Executive Writer for Alternatives Watch and Brainz Magazine.
